SUMMARY:Derek Strong Memorial Tournament
DESCRIPTION:In memory of Derek Weingardt\, who lost his courageous 5 year battle to Acute Myeloid Leukemia\, his family is proud to continue his legacy by supporting other community members and their families who take on the battle against cancer. \nWhen: Sunday\, October 20th\, 10 am registration\, 11 am shotgun \nFormat: 4 Person Scramble; no handicap\, men\, women\, mixed teams. \nEntry: $100/ player\, $400/ Team (includes cart and Dinner at 5pm) \nWhere: Sky Ranch Golf Club \nProceeds from this tournament will be donated to this years recipient\, 4 year old Elliora Geier. Elliora and her family live in Sterling\, Colorado and on August 30\, 2024\, their world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a very rate form of cancer\, Rhabdomyosarcoma. At the time of her diagnosis\, masses were found in both of her lungs and her right hip. She is currently receiving care in Denver\, CO and has a long journey ahead of her. Her infectious smile and radiant spirit have captured the hearts of our community and why she was chosen as the first recipient to receive funds from the Derek Strong Memorial Tournament. \nIn addition to proceeds from the tournament\, the Hot Spot Smokehouse will also be donating a percentage of their Sales from that day to Elliora and her Family!! \nTo register your team\, please call the proshop at 970-522-2836 before October 14th.
